more recycled garments

I've been chopping into lots of shirts of late, and making them into minatures. I've been using shirts from my own wardrobe, ones that don't fit anymore, or have holes or stains, or that I just don't like. And I've been collecting up shirts from the opp shop, from the fill a bag for $1 sections. I'm seeing old and ugly, or stretched or stained or damaged shirts in a whole new light now. Because really, it takes no time at all to transform them from big and ugly into little and cute. By utilising hems and cuffs and things it makes whipping up a new shirt or a pair of tights so quick and easy, truly, these take about 15 minutes from start to finish, it's quite satisfying.
Here are a few of the ones I've made lately, and are being used lots already, perfect for layering in the cool weather we're now having. And there's still a big pile waiting to be transformed, kind of like a big pile of chrysalises waiting to hatch :)

You are very clever! Have you considered writing a book- and filling it with different ingenious ways to recycle clothes? I'd buy it!

I love the idea of recycling clothes - I did try my hand and would do more if Elijah didn't have so many clothes already.

Just found you through lil knight lights - you have an awesome blog and I look forward to reading more!
