Pants from jerseys

These are so fun to make, and quick.

I have a lot of woollen jerseys, I collect them and use the fabric for making my pixie hats, and for making nappy covers for Isla. And look how the sleeves make perfect pants!

I started making this pair ages ago, and lost them when they were half finished! Yes, I'm ashamed to say, that's how unorganised my sewing space was. But now with the rennovation starting I've been forced to rearrange and have a big tidy up, and so I found them!

I only just managed to squeeze them on Isla, they will certainly be too small for her by winter time, so I shall put them in our Etsy shop.

But these ones are just perfect, and I know they will get a lot of use once the weather starts to cool again. I stitched the little bird on to cover up a hole in the fabric.

I do think I will have to make a few more pairs though. Do you think I could find a jersey big enough to make a pair for Liam too? And me!?

p.s came by way of salt and chocolate to seek out the delicious no knead bread she recommended!!

I love these trousers!!! Did you cut any shaping into the top of the trouser legs or did you use the arms as is?
