Rainy day activities

We are trying to find things to keep us busy, with all this wet and windy weather that is keeping us shut indoors. Busy fingers make happy children.

"Busy fingers make happy children". I think I might paint this over a lintel, somewhere. So true, so true! (What lucky little ones, such a wise mom :)

The board and screws is such a great, simple idea. I would have loved that as a kid!

Hope the weather's cleared up for you now - but it looks like a lot of fun inside at yours. Are you just going to roast the seeds? Do you have to take anything of them or eat them as is? Also any tips on cutting pumpkin? I love it but every time I have one I promise myself not to get another because I have such a hard time getting the skin off - would love to try the recipe in your next post.

little grubs - i used to have the same problem, then i realized you can use a peeler to get the skins off...so much easier and quicker!

I so enjoyed this post. The photo of your kids wielding screw drivers reminded me again that there are just so many things already around the house that kids can learn and 'play' with. I love it!

Sorry about that. When I copied my link it pulled more text from my previous comment elsewhere. My apologies.
