Autumn is here

It really is.
There has been a very noticable shift in the weather.
Extra blankets at night for everyone.
We've had a few blustery, windy, rainy days this last week.
-

We've had lots of inside days.
Reading books, sewing, cooking (and destroying the house and generally making mess).
-

Fortunately we've also come a little closer to starting our house extensions this last week.
I know our little house is going to feel very full this winter.

:: Simple apple cake ::

- 2 cups flour
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup caster sugar
- 2 eggs lighty beaten
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup oil
- 2 apples

Mix the dry ingredients, mix the wet ingredients. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Put slices of apple on the top, and sprinkle with a little sugar if you want.
(You can stir a teaspoon of cinnamon and some sugar through the sliced apples first if you wish).
Bake at 180 c for about 30 mins.

Yum! Blustery is sometimes good eh. We've been cuddling up and wearing our warmer knitted things tentatively (already!).
