House update - we've moved into our bedroom

This is kind of oldish news, we finished it about a month ago, but for those who don't get to visit often, or ever :), here are some photos.

new bedroom - no furniture

This is when we first had the carpet laid, this photo reminds me of this one and this one and this one, :) seems they like to celebrate the addition of a new space by racing around on it!

And now with furniture.

We still need to get some side tables, or Aaron might make some, you know with all that spare time he has on his hands :) and I'm on the search for some fabric to make a new bedspread. I have some quite specific fabric in mind and just can't seem to be able to find it.

Ah, it feels so nice to have one room that is all finished, it's a safe haven from the 'building site' out there. Just have to finish the rest of the house out there now :)

It looks lovely- peaceful and calm! Can I ask about your chest of drawers- it looks exactly like the kind of thing I'm looking for for our master bedroom- where did you get it from?

Hi Jessica :) - the drawers were given to us, they were really ugly painted white with gold ornate handles. We sanded them back and oiled them and put new handles on :)

Thanks Hanna- i've been keeping my eye out for a big set of double drawers like that but no luck so far. They look lovely- you did a fantastic job or restoring the wood. I have been going the other way, painting wooden furniture! -Jess

Beautiful Hannah. I love the ply wood ceiling. Good luck with the fabric hinting! xx

Wonderful - having recently completed most of our renovations (still have the bathroom to go) I know how good it is to finally have at least one room finished! I love the crocheted blanket too - did you make that? I really want to make a granny square blanket one day but it's a big project.
