Sticky cinnamon scrolls

Yip more food!
We've been doing lots of baking lately. This is really easy and yummy (how all cooking should be!). We made a double lot this morning and delivered one to a friend. So nice eaten warm from the oven.

The dough for these is this super easy bread recipe that I shared a while ago. (*halve the recipe for one batch of scrolls - or do the full amount and deliver some to a friend!).

-
So you make your dough up according to the recipe. But instead of separating it into buns you roll it out into a rectangle.

-
Then spread it with a generous amount of butter. The more butter you use the more sticky sauce stuff you'll get.
Then sprinkle a generous amount of sugar and cinnamon on top. I didn't measure but you'd probably use about 1 cup of sugar to 2 teaspoons of cinnamon? I made up lots of it and figured if I had leftovers it wouldn't be a bad thing to have stored in the pantry to be used for other things.

Then you roll it up lengthwise and slice it onto eight pieces. Put them into a greased tin or casserole dish that's big enough to allow them to grow and squish together. And cook at about 180 c until they're golden brown on top.

Yum...I made the same thing for our hard working guests last night, but I cheat too and use the breadmaker to make my sweet, eggy dough. I must try your bread recipe though!

I found your blog through Jannelle at Heartfelt. Just wanted to thank you for posting two simple yet very scrummy recipes, I made the cinnimon scrolls for our super last night and the yoghurt over night. Both were a huge success so thank you very much. Keep up the good work. Your thrifting looks amazing too, I am in Nelson and either don't have the nose for it or there is just nothing available here. Thanks again. Take care xx
